What are Online Classes?
Online classes are classes taken virtually via the Internet, while traditional classes are taken on campus in a physical classroom.
The flexible scheduling of our online classes allows you to complete your classwork at a time and location that is most convenient for you. This means you can work, have time for family and activities, and still be enrolled in multiple classes.
ANGEL is your virtual (online) classroom
ANGEL allows you to access your online classes, anytime, from anywhere that you have an Internet connection. This can be at home, at the office, or even on vacation.
In ANGEL, you can view:

Upon registration for your first online course, you will participate in an online orientation session, which will walk you through the simple online course process and show you how to use ANGEL.
What if I Need Help?
Rasmussen College offers 24/7 Personal Support for all online, traditional, and blended-learning students.
You can e-mail or call your course instructor with any questions, or you can discuss assignments online with the teacher and other students during class chats. This is a great way to get your questions answered.
You can also visit any of our campuses near you to go over your questions with an instructor or tutor (making an appointment is recommended).
In addition, online tutoring is available at www.smarthinking.com.
Will I Need Textbooks for Online Classes?
All online courses require textbooks, which are available for purchase through Rasmussen College. The bookstore staff at any of our campuses can assist with textbook purchases for each class.
Note: Some online classes may require certain software packages or programs for instruction.
Will I Ever Have to Go to Campus?
Some online classes may require that the student meet on campus periodically for testing. However, the majority of the coursework for online classes is completed at the location and time of the student’s choosing. Online program students complete all of their coursework online.
